Waterloo Region poet Yvonne Tagoe reads her poem "Skin" from Textile Magazine's second issue, Space(s).
A collaboration between Midtown Radio and Textile Magazine, Waterloo Region's premiere literary publication. The "Textile x Midtown" projects features exciting local authors, poets, and artists of colour reading the work they've published in in current or past issues of Textile Magazine. In this clip, Waterloo Region poet Yvonne Tagoe reads her poem "Skin" which is both a celebration of her full self and cry of frustration at society's inability to see beyond skin-deep. "Skin" was published in Textile's second issue "Space(s)", released in spring 2021.
